I Just Took the Imperial Exam, and You're Telling Me This Is Journey to the West?

Chen Feng transmigrates to a strange world with the strongest writing System. Fortunately, an old Daoist saves him, and he learns that it is the Zhenguan era and the emperor is Li Shimin.

Three months later, the old Daoist passes away. Chen Feng shoulders his pack, heads to Chang'an, and sits for the imperial examination.

But to his utter surprise, the moment he puts pen to paper, the System binds to him and tells him that he isn't in the Great Tang at all, but in the world of Journey to the West.

Chen Feng panics.

He had hoped to live a peaceful, prosperous life, but Heaven has played a cruel joke on him.

The great clans persecute him, and Li Shimin keeps him at arm's length. Only Li Chengqian, Crown Prince of the Great Tang, is willing to befriend him.

A few months later, the Journey to the West begins. The human race becomes a pawn, Li Shimin visits the underworld, and Li Chengqian asks Chen Feng to come out of seclusion, destroy the great clans, and save the Tang emperor.

From then on, across the Three Realms and Six Paths, the human race is destined to remain the eternal protagonist.
