No! I Refuse to Believe This Is Journey to the West

In the Tang Dynasty, Xiao San works hard, passes the imperial examinations and the Ministry of Personnel's test, and becomes an eighth-rank county deputy in Wannian County, Chang'an. One day, a woman named Yin Wenjiao hangs herself and dies. Her son, Chen Yi, knows what will happen but does nothing to stop it. The facts are clear, and the evidence is conclusive. Xiao San sentences Chen Yi to immediate execution. Then someone tells him that Chen Yi's Buddhist name is Xuanzang.

"This official knows. He's just a monk."

Xuanzang may be famous in history, but he's still only a monk. Are we not allowed to execute him?!

"Sir, Xuanzang is about to journey west."

"So what? Going on a pilgrimage, what's the big deal?"

"Wait, could this be the world of Journey to the West?!"

"No. This official refuses to believe this is Journey to the West."

The immortals and Buddhas of the Three Realms start mobilizing, all to keep Tang Sanzang from being saddled with this crime. Whether he realizes it or not, Xiao San has unwittingly become their enemy. His only support is a revolver that can only spin a roulette wheel.
