A Bowl of Scallion Oil Noodles from the Start: Conquering Tokyo

This is a hugely popular food show on TV Tokyo.

After transmigrating and landing in a mountain of debt, Kitahara Sora got bound to a Chinese Cuisine System. Hoping to win the prize money, he entered the competition.

Who could have guessed that a simple bowl of scallion oil noodles would win the first perfect score in the show's history, with no contest, and set the internet ablaze?

Yet Kitahara Sora, the man behind it all, suddenly vanished without a trace.

One day, a Chinese restaurant quietly opened in a little corner of Arakawa Ward.

Scallion oil noodles, aged-salt lemon and passion fruit, Lanzhou beef noodles, xiaolongbao: one ordinary Chinese dish after another took Tokyo by storm and stepped onto the world stage.

Real estate agent: "This is the man who single-handedly drove nearby home prices up tenfold. I can't believe people are buying houses here just to eat Chinese food."

Chinese netizens: "It's over. They've learned the secret. Damn those Japanese..."
