Great Qin: My Mother Was Pregnant for Eighteen Months

More than twenty years ago, the First Emperor had only recently ascended the throne when he encountered an assassin on the road. Gravely wounded, he was rescued by a woman, and the two secretly pledged themselves to each other!

Later, Zheng Ge returned to his homeland, promising to come back for her one day!

Eighteen months later, after conquering Zhao, the First Emperor excitedly returned to that same courtyard, only to hear the woman giving birth. It hit him like a thunderbolt!

With only eighteen months between them, the child couldn't possibly be his. The First Emperor turned away in dejection!

Eighteen years later, having unified the land and nearing the end of his life, the First Emperor revisited the place and encountered a young man skilled in governance and full of clever schemes!

Zheng Ge had planned to groom the young man as a trusted minister to help his heir, but then he unexpectedly learned that the young man was the woman's child. His feelings were indescribably complicated!

It wasn't until they chatted one day about the young man's mother that one remark brought the First Emperor to tears!

"My mother had a very hard time when she was carrying me. She was pregnant for a full eighteen months!"
