I Become Empress in the Tang Dynasty

Xue Shao arrives in the Tang Dynasty and becomes a noble young gentleman from a powerful family. He plans to enjoy a life of ease, but then he meets a "never-satisfied" mother-in-law who is also an empress.

"Xue Qing, the Crown Prince is a tyrant. Starting today, he's your problem."

Xue Shao reluctantly accepts the task of dealing with the deposed Crown Prince.

"Xue Qing, I intend to take up the late emperor's mantle, but it seems some people at court resent his edict and want to use public opinion to challenge the empress's authority."

Xue Shao dons his armor, takes up his blade, and makes his way to the frontier, where he leads his army in a series of devastating raids on Tubo's royal capital.

"Xue Qing, the Shandong clans have been getting a little carried away lately. They've even dared to say that a royal heir is worthy of marrying a daughter from one of the Five Great Clans..."

Xue Shao carefully considers three plans, then cuts off the roots of those Five-Clan bigwigs in one fell swoop, driving history onward. ...
