Guardian of the Dao

This story takes place in an alternate reality, in a fantasy world of imagination.

Guardians are beings appointed by Heaven's Mandate to maintain order in the mortal realm and protect the peace of their territory.

They can appeal directly to Heaven's Mandate above and reach the Lord of the Underworld below, and some of their powers even surpass his.

Hu Tiange has recently felt that something is wrong with him. Though it is the height of summer, his body is strangely cold. After the hospital found nothing wrong, he followed the address his family gave him and went to seek out a spirit medium, hoping to figure out the mystery of what was happening to him.

But the spirit medium turned out to be a mere amateur. After learning about the strange condition afflicting Hu Tiange, she planned to negotiate with the other party, only to be threatened and told not to interfere. She was even immobilized, unable to move.

Just as Hu Tiange was falling into despair, a sword suddenly flew out of the portrait enshrined in the spirit medium's home...

Then an old man stepped out of the portrait and used both threats and inducements to make Hu Tiange take him as his master.

From then on, Hu Tiange gradually entered a world beyond anything he could have imagined...
