Journey to the West: I'm Sanzang, and I Love the Western Scriptures

A group of friends went sightseeing at White Horse Temple. They saw a statue of Tang Sanzang, with the White Dragon Horse standing beside him. One friend joked, "Chen Xuan, that statue of Tang Sanzang looks a bit like you!" Chen Xuan struck a pose and declared, "This humble monk hails from the Great Tang in the Eastern Land!" Everyone burst out laughing!

The next morning, Chen Xuan woke up in a strange place. Outside, he could hear a bell tolling. His head spun, and he was completely dumbfounded. He cried out, "What the hell! I'm Tang Sanzang!"

At that moment, Chen Xuan panicked. He had come to the world of Journey to the West, a world filled with gods and Buddhas. But he was quite interested in the Mahayana Buddhist teachings. He'd praised them to the skies, so wouldn't it be a waste to come all this way and not take a look?
