Sword Shadows Over the Martial World

During the reign of Emperor Daizong of the Tang Dynasty, the An Lushan Rebellion came to an end. To secure the empire's borders, Emperor Daizong bestowed titles on numerous military governors, leading to the fragmentation of the realm. In the hope of bringing peace to the land, the great martial arts sects entered the world to support the imperial house. Instead, they uncovered a shocking conspiracy buried for ten years, setting off a bloody conflict between the martial world and the imperial court.

That night, blood stained all of Mount Hua. Seeing the disciples of the Mount Hua Sect lying dead across the ground and his beloved fallen in a pool of blood, while remembering his father's wrongful death, Ling Cang, heir to a line of loyal martyrs, raised his sword to defy the heavens.

"What does the Heavenly Dao matter? What does the Tang emperor matter? Since you took everything from me, I will destroy your glorious Tang Dynasty."
