Showbiz: Starting with a Film That Cost Almost Nothing

On the first night after transmigrating to a parallel world, movie star Wang Fan finds a film crew shooting at a supermarket on the street below. One of the lead actors has run into trouble.

As it happens, Wang Fan is there to buy something.

"Hey, kid, do you like movies?"

"I do."

"Want to be the lead in one?"

After an audition, Wang Fan gets roped into the job and becomes the lead in a low-budget film.

Before filming is even finished, Wang Fan asks, "Can I make another movie?"

"It won't take much. Just one scene, one actor, and a few days of shooting."

Impressed by how well Wang Fan has performed during filming, the producer waves a hand and indulges his desire to direct.

Nobody pays any attention to the movie, and no one expects much of it. Then it hits theaters.

And becomes a hit.
