Journey to the West: I Freeze the Seven Fairies from the Start

Jiang Chen transmigrated to the Primordial World, joined the Jie Sect under the Sage Tongtian, and became the sect's ninth direct disciple.

During the Calamity of the Investiture of the Gods, Jiang Chen was ambushed by Guangchengzi and Randeng, sent to the Investiture of the Gods, and made a land god tasked with guarding the Peach Garden.

Though a land god was hardly an important divine office in the Heavenly Court, Jiang Chen was happy to take it easy. He spent his days planting trees and tending flowers in the Peach Garden, enjoying a life of leisure.

That was until the Calamity of the Journey to the West arrived. When the Peach Banquet began, the Seven Fairies were ordered to pick peaches, only to be immobilized by the monkey who had snuck in...

"Choice One: Ignore the immobilized Seven Fairies and the monkey eating peaches. Reward: one innate supreme treasure!"

"Choice Two: Rescue the Seven Fairies and steal peaches with the monkey. Reward: freedom from the Investiture of the Gods!"

Freedom from the Investiture of the Gods?

Jiang Chen: Do I even need to choose?
