A Shattered Honghuang: Walking the Journey to the West Again

Tang Zhe transmigrated to a desolate version of the Primordial World.

The immortals, Buddhas, gods, and demons had all perished, and the Sages had vanished without a trace. He thought everything was over.

But then he realized that something seemed off about the village where he had grown up.

"My good disciple, you must bring glory to our Buddhist sect and become a good monk," an old monk said.

"I'll find you a little monkey to play with," a second monk said.

"Just let things take their natural course," an old Daoist said quietly.

"Don't become a monk. You'll never find a wife. As a Daoist, you don't have to follow any precepts," his second uncle, a Daoist, snorted.

"You can't become a Daoist either! Just be a swordsman! Whoever disagrees, cut them down!" his third uncle, also a Daoist, roared, slamming the table.

"Hmph!" His Aunt Hei, who loved wearing black gauze dresses, rolled her eyes.

"Big brother, what do you think a human is?" His younger sister pouted at him, twirling a willow branch. "Can we create humans?"

Tang Zhe could only reply righteously, "When you're grown up!"

He also realized that these monks and Daoists in his village seemed to be hiding some secrets!
