From the Start: I Ate a Dragon

The general meaning of the words carved into the stone was that this was an island with mysterious powers. They had used those powers to seal an evil dragon. The seal was a Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy Pill. If the pill were gone, the evil dragon would emerge and wreak havoc upon the world.

The text below described the dragon's appearance and origins.

Xue Feng continued reading. With every sentence, his face grew a little paler. By the time he finished, he had lost all color.

That was because the dragon described on the stone had exactly the same features as the strange snake he had just eaten.

Good heavens, I ate that strange snake, and I ate the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy Pill too! Thank goodness I ate the sealed evil dragon first, then the pill. Otherwise, who knows which one of us would have ended up as the other's meal?

Dragons are the greatest of all creatures. The evil dragon was sealed rather than killed because it governed the beasts of the primordial wilderness. As long as it remained alive, all those beasts stayed in their own territories and lived in order. If the evil dragon died, the beasts of the primordial wilderness would be left unchecked, and the world would fall into chaos...
