Three Kingdoms: I'm About to Take the Emperor Hostage, and You Call Me the Son of Heaven?

Liu Bian transmigrates to the final years of the Eastern Han Dynasty. With chaos on the horizon, his only option is to quietly build up his strength and plot his next move.

Fortunately, Cao Cao is an older friend of his family. Liu Bian seeks his support and urges him to act, seizes the initiative from Dong Zhuo, and takes Luoyang by force amid the Rebellion of the Ten Attendants, holding the emperor hostage to command the lords.

On the night Emperor Ling dies, three thousand assassins who have been lying low outside Luoyang enter the capital and seize power, wiping out the imperial in-laws and eunuchs in one fell swoop.

Dong Zhuo: "But I got here first."

Yuan Shao: "Cao Cao, you defy the natural order and usurp power. You are a traitor to the Han."

Liu Bian is just about to issue a proclamation calling for the rebels' defeat when the imperial yellow robe is suddenly placed on his shoulders.

The civil and military officials, led by Cao Cao, kneel and cry out, "For the sake of the Han Dynasty, Your Highness, Prince Bian, you must ascend the throne!"

"???" Liu Bian
