The Seventh Era, the seventh millennium of human history. Six thousand years have passed since the Twilight of the Gods. Those active on the continent are no longer the invincible gods of the ancient mythological age, nor the other races that once roamed the land. After the Twilight of the Gods, humanity, a race long known for its weakness, ultimately came to rule the continent.
At the end of the War of the Gods, to preserve the traces of their existence, the gods used the last of their power to reach through the World Tree and steal three possibilities concealed by the Supreme from an unknown void. They bestowed them upon humanity, a race that was exceedingly frail at the time.
Perhaps it was because of humanity's devout faith, or perhaps simply because of their similar nature, but the gods ultimately chose humanity.
