Dragon King of the East Sea: “Jade Emperor, hurry up and send Tang Sanzang to fetch the scriptures. My daughter follows him around sightseeing every day and never comes home.”

King of Hell: “Jade Emperor, if you don't send Tang Sanzang to the Western Heaven, no one will be left to brew Granny Meng's soup. He ran off with her!”

Sun Wukong: “Bajie, Junior Brother Sha, let's wait a little longer. Master still hasn't come back from catching demons.”

Bodhisattva Guanyin: “Wukong, hurry and take off the golden headband and put it on your master. Make him behave and go to the Western Heaven to fetch the scriptures.”

Buddha Tathagata: “Eight hundred Arhats, three thousand Kalaviṅkas, and a hundred thousand Buddhist troops, keep a close eye on Tang Sanzang. Don't let him wander off!”

Jade Emperor: “Tang Sanzang, as long as you obtain the true scriptures, I will betroth the Seventh Fairy to you as your Dao companion.”

Emperor Taizong of Tang: “It's been twenty whole years. If Royal Brother Sanzang doesn't return soon, I won't live to see him again...”

Queen of the Western Liang Kingdom: “Royal Brother, are you still going to fetch the scriptures?”

Tang Sheng swore, “I, Tang Sanzang, will never fetch the scriptures!”
