I Work in the Heavenly Court, and I've Started Collecting Rent

"Jade Emperor, you need to do something about Lin Ze! Who gave him the right to collect rent from me? Now he says he'll tear down my cave if I don't pay!" One day, Venus, the Gold Star, couldn't help complaining to the Jade Emperor in the main hall.

Just then, Erlang Shen rushed over in tears. "Old Bai, don't even get me started. I'm much worse off than you. A few days ago, I couldn't pay the rent, so I had to pawn my Celestial Dog!"

The Jade Emperor looked at the assembled immortals below, speechless.

This is the story of a young man who ascends to Heaven, gains the power to collect rent, and makes the immortals pay up in tears.
