A Fan of Sorrow

In the winter of Tianchen Year 11, snow blanketed the capital. The emperor fell in battle, the empress died with him, and the traitors were executed. The funeral bells rang without end, while cuckoos cried blood-red tears. Thus ended the emperor and empress's legendary love story. For a thousand years, in the blazing depths of the Infernal Rock, the phoenix bathed in blood and was reborn, mourning day after day as it searched for its mate. When they finally meet again, the grudges of their past lives will be settled in this one. The legitimate daughters of the Bai and Liu families will join their husbands on the battlefield, exterminate every corrupt official, and usher in a golden age for Qingxuan. A century later, the emperor and empress will return to their rightful place.
