The Steward's Gourmet House

My father earned the country's highest chef title at just 20, but one day, the utterly unreliable man vanished without a trace, leaving behind a rundown little restaurant tucked away in an alley, me, a brand-new high school freshman who had just turned 15, and a letter telling me to stand on my own two feet. In the first 15 years of my life, I'd never once set foot in a kitchen. That night, I sat alone in a restaurant chair, at a complete loss, when the front door suddenly opened. Against the light, I saw four tall, slender figures standing in the doorway.
