Great Tang: He's an Unmatched National Hero, How Dare You Treat Him Like This?

Zhang Che returned to the Great Tang and invented countless things far ahead of their time.

The curved-plow and irrigation waterwheel eased the burden of farming on the people.

He spread medical knowledge and trained countless physicians, helping the people of the Great Tang live longer.

He improved papermaking and woodblock printing, lowering the cost of books so even ordinary families could afford them.

To spare the Great Tang the threat of the Turks, he spent three years among them as a spy, enabling Tang soldiers to win battle after battle against the Turks.

The court's chancellors called him Duke Zhang the Sage.

The court's generals called him Marshal Zhang.

Countless wise men revered him as their teacher.

Li Er followed his every word.

Yet when Zhang Che returned to Chang'an and stopped to rest at an inn, a woman from a pleasure house framed him. Some wanted to ruin his reputation, some wanted to destroy his family, and some wanted to make his life worse than death.

When the news reached them, the chancellors were stunned, the generals were enraged, and the wise men trembled with fury.
