Great Tang: From the Start, I Force Li Er to Issue a Confession of Guilt

Lin Yan transmigrates to the Tang Dynasty and becomes its first top scholar. On his first day at court, he awakens the Power Minister System.

What does it mean to be a power minister?

"Wield the power of the realm by day, sleep with beauties by night. Treat the emperor as a plaything and the imperial harem as your bedchamber."

Serving as a power minister during the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty puts immense pressure on Lin Yan.

But when he looks at the rewards in the System's shop, he decides he has to give it a shot.

"Your Majesty, just after ascending the throne, the realm has been plagued by locusts and droughts, and now smallpox is spreading everywhere. These are Your Majesty's failings. Please issue an edict of self-reproach."

Li Er sits on the dragon throne, his face livid.

The ministers all say, "We beseech Your Majesty to issue an edict of self-reproach."

On the day the Tang Dynasty's dragon banners fly across the globe, Lin Yan yells at Li Er, "If you don't want to be emperor, the Retired Emperor is still waiting!"
