Worlds collide, demons run rampant, and humanity teeters on the brink of destruction.
Fortunately, Divine Summoners have appeared. They can command gods in battle and even share their divine arts and magical power!
But the first god Wang Yi binds himself to turns out to be the Great Sage Equal to Heaven!
Wang Yi is startled. "Great Sage, weren't you going to fetch the scriptures? Didn't you become a Buddha? How did you become a god?"
"Fetch the scriptures? Become a Buddha?"
The Great Sage bares his teeth in a bitter, resentful smile, showing teeth stained with blood.
"It wasn't this old Sun who went west to fetch the scriptures! And I wasn't the one who became a Buddha!
"In the end, this old Sun fell for the Jade Emperor and Tathagata's scheme..."
"Don't worry, Great Sage. One day, I'll fight my way into the Journey to the West Realm! I'll destroy the Heavenly Court and slaughter Mount Ling! I'll defy Heaven and subdue the Three Realms!"
