Cast Aside: How Did a Down-and-Out Nobody Like Me Become a Sage of Literature?

This is a world where literary talent is weak, yet literary culture flourishes.

Confucianism was founded, but its followers understood little about benevolence, morality, and the like, and had no concrete principles. Daoism had existed for a thousand years, yet its followers could not explain the Dao in any coherent way.

This continued until Qin Yang lost a copy of the Analects and the Dao De Jing, then ended the matter by writing a poem, "Bring in the Wine," at a poetry gathering.

The two books spread through the imperial court and among the common people.

The whole world was shocked, and the books were hailed as the teachings of a Sage.

One day, Qin Yang returns from hunting and finds countless people in brocade robes and ceremonial hats gathered before his shabby little house, crying out, "Long live the Sage!"
