The Golden Immortal Is More Than a Dream

In the first year of Shenzhou, a meteorite suddenly fell from the heavens, shaking the four seas of the Primordial World and sending the winds and clouds into turmoil. Spiritual energy flooded the continent, and from then on, countless cultivation sects arose across the land. Alongside them came the demon, ghost, and dragon clans, among others.

In the twenty-thousandth year of the Shenzhou calendar, in Qingzhou Prefecture on the Eastern Continent of the Primordial World, Ye Jianfei, a Golden Body expert of the Wushan Sect, one of the four demonic sects, and his wife, Liu Xiyue of the Diancang Sect, were besieged by Qingzhou's six great sects. They demanded that the couple hand over the Immortal Ascension Manual, a cultivation scripture. Yet Ye Jianfei single-handedly killed more than a dozen Golden Body experts from the six sects.

Unable to defeat him, the various sects joined forces with Chen Xuanfeng, the head of the Diancang Sect, to feign illness and lure away his female disciple, Liu Xiyue. They then took Ye Menghan, her young son, hostage. Grief-stricken, Ye Jianfei was ambushed and mortally wounded by the head of the Kunlun Sect. Before dying, he destroyed the Immortal Ascension Manual.

The various sects then forced Liu Xiyue to recite the contents of the manual. In utter despair, she took her own life. From then on, the Immortal Ascension Manual was lost forever from the Primordial Continent.
