Sorry, I Failed to Save Humanity

System + interstellar + war

The Red Kingdom has spent more than thirty years researching nuclear fusion, but still hasn't managed to break through the bottleneck.

Then, one day, a mysterious email gives the chief engineer of the nuclear fusion project a sudden insight, and he successfully harnesses fusion energy.

But the sender of this mysterious email turns out to be just a boy of seventeen or eighteen.

At their first meeting, the boy says with a grave expression, "Could you help me settle my rent?"

He has lived through the destruction of humanity countless times. Returning to Blue Star once more, all he wants is to save the lives on this planet.

If I fail to save you, please let me say I'm sorry, even though I've repeated that apology countless times already.
