The protagonist, Li Xiu, is covered in pockmarks, earning him the nickname Li the Pockmarked. He's a fat shut-in who spends all day lazing around at home and eating well, constantly nagged by his parents for being good for nothing and having no ambition. One afternoon, after his mother scolded him, he returned to his room, furious with nowhere to vent his anger. He punched the computer, which he blamed for all his problems. To his surprise, the computer was completely unharmed. Then it suddenly switched on by itself, and a powerful force sucked Li Xiu inside.
When Li Xiu woke up, he found himself in an unfamiliar world: the Divine Abyss Continent.
