Journey to the West: The Jade Emperor Asks Me to Slay the Tathagata

After the Longhan Tribulation, Zhou Yue transmigrated to the Primordial World. A mountain demon, he joined the newly established Heavenly Court and awakened an automatic cultivation System, which bound itself to the South Heaven Gate. As long as he stayed at the South Heaven Gate, his cultivation would automatically increase!

After cultivating automatically for a thousand years, he obtained Yuan Feng's blood essence!

After cultivating automatically for a hundred million years, he obtained the God-Slaying Spear!

To avoid being transferred away from the South Heaven Gate, Zhou Yue decided to keep a low profile and grow stronger in secret.

The great war between the Wu and Yao tribes erupted. The Twelve Ancestor Wu led their army in an assault on the Heavenly Court. To protect the South Heaven Gate, Zhou Yue had no choice but to act. He alone held off hundreds of millions of Wu warriors, slew an Ancestor Wu, and shook the Primordial World!

But the Wu and Yao tribes had exhausted their destinies, and the Heavenly Court fell into ruin. Zhou Yue was the only survivor of the ancient Heavenly Court.

When the new Heavenly Court was established, the Jade Emperor took charge. Zhou Yue still insisted on guarding the South Heaven Gate, and the Jade Emperor could only agree, honoring him as the God of War of the South Heaven Gate.

Countless years later...

A demon monkey in the Earthly Immortal Realm was manipulated by the Western Religion and stormed the Heavenly Court, leaving it in chaos and disgrace. The Jade Emperor could no longer bear it...
