I Asked the Gods to Hold On a Moment

He studies under Li Er, travels far and wide alongside Yin Xi, is a honored guest of Kunlun, enters the Demon Realm to question the Demon Venerable, and descends into the Nine Netherworlds to meet Xing Tian. He plays chess with Guiguzi as they plot the unification of the world, makes every being in the Heavenly Court kneel and call him Grandpa, teases Sun Wukong, and shatters the Hall of Mirrored Light with a single kick, forcing gods and Buddhas alike to cower in one place.

He does what he knows cannot be done, and faces certain death without hesitation. Standing before the gods, he cries out: "So what if you sit high above us? So what if your magic is boundless? I have no fear, with my heart and courage intact! So what if I am torn to pieces? So what if my soul is scattered? I am a man eight feet tall, standing proudly between heaven and earth! So what if you outnumber me? So what if you hold the power of life and death? I stand unafraid, righteous to my core! At worst, I die and my cultivation is destroyed! At worst, I suffer forever in the deepest hell! At worst, I endure a thousand trials before I die! I will still hold my head high and never bow!"

He does not seek to make every god and Buddha in heaven fall. He only wants to make them all tremble in fear!
