I'm Meng Po

"Meng Po's soup, the Bridge of Helplessness, worldly troubles, infatuation's dreams that never fade..."

Along the cold, gloomy road to the Yellow Springs, countless ghosts line up, waiting to cross the Bridge of Helplessness. Some wear rags, others silk brocade; some have fearsome faces, while others are missing hands or feet. Whatever their lives were like, arriving here marks the end of one life and the beginning of another. By the bridge, a beautiful young woman sings as she holds a golden bowl, ladles out its red liquid, and offers it to the passing ghosts. After drinking, each ghost turns to gaze at the far side of the bridge, then reluctantly steps onto it.
