The Revival of Film and TV: Starting with A Chinese Ghost Story

Chen Zhonghua drifted the car to a stop in the open ground in front of Lanruo Temple, then hurried over to knock on the door.

"Old Yan, open up! Something terrible has happened!"

A moment later, the bearded Yan Chixia emerged from the temple, still bleary-eyed with sleep.

"What now, another female ghost after you? I mean, your temper's as foul as a rock, kid, but you sure do have one romantic encounter after another!"

Chen Zhonghua looked helpless.

"Not this time!"

"A few days ago, you wanted lightning-struck wood to make me a flying sword, remember? So I hauled the trunk of that thousand-year-old tree demon up to the Qinling Mountains and had the organization make it rain."

"Guess what happened?"

"Damn it, that old monster got struck by lightning and came back to life!"
