I Became a Ghost Immortal in Penglai

Situated out at sea, it has grown into a considerable complex after generations of renovation. Seen from land, it is wreathed in clouds and mist, like a paradise for immortals.

Comprehend the boundless sword intent, seize the Nine Netherworld Sword.

Others cultivate immortality; I cultivate as a ghost.

If all one does is sit with eyes closed, mind still and quietly reflecting, then one seeks stillness within stillness and realizes the stubborn emptiness and extinction of the human condition. Yet this is not the state of complete cessation.

One cultivates only a Yin spirit of deep concentration. When one's life force runs out, the Yin spirit emerges and becomes a ghostly spirit. This is called becoming a ghost immortal.
