Biographies of the Ming Dynasty Assassins

Less than a day after inheriting the throne, the new emperor dons golden scale armor with dragon patterns, a phoenix-winged helmet with thirty-two colorful petals, and a golden-branch divine-arm bow slung across his back. At his waist hangs the Dragon-Patterned Vermilion Bird Saber, its blade as clear as autumn waters and shaped like a wild goose feather. In his hands he holds the Dragon-Swallowing Crescent Blade, its edge cold and gleaming. He gazes upon the capital, besieged on all sides... This battle will preserve the Great Ming dynasty.

This is a story set in a new timeline. The Great Ming has split in two, and amid the struggle between the northern and southern Ming, a band of highly skilled freelance assassins walks the line between black and white, following their own code of conduct.
