I, Chengjiao, Lord of Chang'an

"Cheng Jiao, what are you thinking about? Why are you so weak today? You went down after just a few blows."

When I opened my eyes, I was lying on the ground on my back. I turned to look around, but there was no one else there.

While I was still dazed, a man with an impressive air and a sword in his hand walked over.

Perhaps he saw me lying there without moving, because he came over and hauled me to my feet.

"Stop acting like a coward. Get up! We've barely even started!"

As he spoke, the man shoved the bronze sword on the ground into my hands.

"Come on. This time you attack, and I'll defend!"

Cheng Jiao? I'd just swung the sword around a few times and was only starting to get used to it.

Now those two words, "Cheng Jiao," had jolted me wide awake!
