Lord of Cause and Effect Across the Heavens

Outline

The idea came from watching A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality on Bilibili to support Chinese animation.

The protagonist gets a panel that lets him transmigrate back and forth.

He can bring objects along, and energy is needed to interact with people. Energy takes the form of light orbs, while karmic connections become visible as threads.

Energy is obtained by changing predetermined events and forming karmic connections with others. The more closely someone is tied to a world, the greater the events that happen to them and the karma they generate.

His first transmigration is into A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality.

The setup: He can transmigrate to wherever he has read up to. There are two modes to choose from: transmigrating in his own body, in which case all his cultivation comes back with him; or possessing someone through a soul transmigration, in which case he must spend energy to obtain items, loses all his cultivation, and has his memories sealed until he solves the mystery of his prenatal life, which happens once he reaches a certain stage of growth.

The plan is to transmigrate through souls.

The worlds are tentatively set as A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality for the golden finger, the Little Green Bottle; Longmen Escort Agency for growth; and The Outcast for the Eight Extraordinary Skills.

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to actual people or events is purely coincidental. Do not imitate anything described here.
