Randomly Smite a Lucky Protagonist to Death

Gao Yang is a supporting character who wants to become an immortal. He plans to find the real protagonist and hitch a ride. He thinks he'll spend his whole life as the protagonist's designated lackey, until he suddenly awakens a rather abnormal System.

System: "Host, please complete the mission as soon as possible: kill a Nascent Soul Realm monster."

Gao Yang: "No way!"

System: "The Host's attitude is extremely improper. Mission failure has been imposed. A random lucky protagonist will be killed."

"..."

A thousand miles away, a protagonist in the Nascent Soul Realm looks up in terror at the tribulation clouds in the sky and breaks down, wailing to the old man beside him:

"What does it have to do with me if Gao Yang can't complete his mission? No!"

"At least there's a five-hour time limit. I should be able to help him kill a Nascent Soul Realm monster, right?"

"..."

Many years later, Gao Yang finally ascends to the Immortal Realm, and every protagonist in the entire cultivation world lets out a sigh of relief...
