I Am the Heavenly Court's Rent Collector!

“Great Sage, pay the rent on Flower Fruit Mountain.”

“Jade Emperor, come out! Rent is due for your Hall of Miraculous Heavens!”

“Old Lord, you’re the head of the Three Pure Ones, so how can you not even afford the rent? Then I’ll confiscate your Tusita Palace.”

Down on his luck and unable to pay the rent, he unexpectedly became Heaven’s rent collector.

From then on, he began collecting rent. No matter what kind of immortal you were, if you dared not to pay, he would confiscate your immortal palace.
