The Tragic Transmigration of Lin Zifei

On Jianshan Mountain in Wuxi County, a light rain falls on a winter night. A jeep races along the winding mountain road, accelerating, rushing ahead, overtaking. The driver's skill is every bit as good as a racing driver's. In the rain, driving like this usually means one of two things: you're in a hurry or you're running for your life.

As the economy slumps and unemployment soars, many people struggle to make ends meet. Unable to repay their loans, they have their property seized by the banks. Outraged, the three Li brothers decide to start robbing banks. Just then, Lin Zifei returns from leave with the special forces and catches Li Huai trying to steal her stepmother's car. That's how the two meet. Soon, two cars are locked in a desperate high-speed chase along the highway. Every escape must eventually come to an end.

A flock of crows flies up into the treetops. Lin Zifei is savoring that moment of terror when, suddenly, the informant crawls beneath the car. The two glance toward the trees, knowing all is lost, and sprint for the car. But gunfire erupts, and they are too slow. They are riddled with bullets, and the police mistake Lin Zifei for a robber. That's how the events at the beginning in Wuxi County began...
