Emperor You

"The Yellow Emperor was the son of Shaodian, ruler of the Youxiong state. The Youxiong state is now Zheng. First among the Five Emperors, his surname was Gongsun. He was born on Xuanyuan Hill, named Xuanyuan, and titled the Xuanyuan clan. He could also be called the Youxiong clan. On the day of his birth, auspicious signs appeared on the earth. Because of the blessing associated with the virtue of earth, he was called the Yellow Emperor. He was divine from birth, able to speak while still young, quick-witted as a child, honest and diligent as he grew, and intelligent as an adult. During Xuanyuan's time, the Shennong clan had declined over generations. The feudal lords invaded and attacked one another, oppressing the common people, while the Shennong clan was unable to subdue them."

"Thereupon, Xuanyuan trained with shields and weapons to punish those who failed to pay tribute, and the feudal lords all came to submit to him. Chiyou was the most violent of them, and no one could defeat him. The Flame Emperor sought to encroach upon the feudal lords, who all turned to Xuanyuan. Xuanyuan cultivated virtue and strengthened his forces, regulated the five elements, sowed the five grains, cared for the people, surveyed the four quarters, and trained bears, brown bears, pixiu, chushu, and tigers to fight the Flame Emperor on the plains of Banquan. After three battles, he finally achieved his aim."

"The Yellow Emperor, Chiyou, Chiy... Chiy..." Those two names stirred a faint anger in me. I... I didn't know why. I, who had always been calm and composed... "Beep!!" It was over in an instant...
