Honghuang: I, Bitter Bamboo, Lord of the West

Lu Zhu is reborn in the Western lands of the primordial world as Bitter Bamboo, one of the Ten Great Innate Spiritual Roots.

And so...

Zhunti: "My elder brother and I traveled all the way from the West to the Purple Cloud Palace, only to find there wasn't even a seat for us. We hope one of you fellow Daoists will give up a place, so that the beings of the West may also have the blessing of learning a sage's wondrous teachings."

Bitter Bamboo, sitting on the fifth cushion in the Purple Cloud Palace, smiled faintly. "There's no need for the two of you to worry about the beings of the West. I am the lord of the West. It is enough for me to teach the Dao there."

Hongjun: "These are the Four Immortal-Slaying Swords, supreme innate treasures of slaughter. I shall give them to Tongtian."

Bitter Bamboo: "Please wait, Dao Ancestor! The Four Immortal-Slaying Swords were once hidden beneath Mount Sumeru. They are fated to belong to the West and should be a treasure of the West!"

Jieyin: "Today, my elder brother and I intend to establish the Western..."

Bitter Bamboo, who had made Mount Sumeru his own cultivation grounds, smiled as he held a flower between his fingers. "Today, I, Bitter Bamboo, establish the Western Teachings."
