The story takes place after Youzha defeats AI. Six main storylines are linked by time and place. In his old age, Kaiba Mokuba develops a project called Duel Links, codenamed YGODL, so his older brother can keep dueling in his twilight years. It is a new world that seems to be merely a mirror of the real one, but behind its joyful duels lurk dangers at every turn. The Duel Links world has rules unlike those of the real world. The heroine, Jugoya Yu Kaguya, is an elementary school student who idolizes Yuki Judai and dreams of becoming the King of Games. She unexpectedly obtains the Anka Kuriboh Spirit Card and gains the ability to see card spirits. Guided by Anka Kuriboh, she arrives in the world of Duel Links. The male lead, Katori Yu Masu, is a year ahead of her in school and an exceptionally gifted duelist.
This is basically a sequel to the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, written by a rookie who's been playing the game for over ten years. I'll fill in some of the gaps from anime seasons 1 to 6, while also introducing new leads...
