After transmigrating into the TV series The Monk with the Cloth Bag, Xu De is destined to be ordained by Maitreya.

Maitreya: That's a nice cloth bag you have there. How about we trade? My Cosmos Treasure Bag for yours?

Li Er: Xu Qing is no ordinary man. He's a god among men.

Li Chengqian: If I had a son like Xu Qing, I would have no regrets in this life.

Li Tai: Master Xu's talent is as vast as the sea. I, Qingque, am but a speck of dust.

Wu Zetian: I met Xu Qing when I was young, and fell in love at first sight.

Princess Wenrui: Xu De is the person I hate most. He actually stole my heart.

Jiang Xiaofeng, Sun Simiao's master: I studied medicine only to keep Xu De safe and well.
