A Love So Humble

In the summer of 2020, I saw a girl. Back then, she often wore her hair in braids. I still remember asking her why she braided it. She said it was more convenient... In the blink of an eye, she's nowhere to be seen. She went back to her hometown to pursue her dreams and the big brother she admired.

During the days we worked together, she often complained that I was a negative person. She told me not to envy others, and said that she had spent more time with me than with anyone else.

I remember how, back then, her big eyes peeking out above her mask attracted the attention of many boys.

At first, I didn't want to talk. She said I was deliberately distancing myself from my coworkers. All right, then.

So I started talking to her every day, though I was the only one doing the talking.

When two people have been together for a long time, it's like their left and right hands. They may not touch, but they grow used to each other's presence...
