General, Don’t Run

The Ye family was a clan of generals. After a calamity in the imperial palace took the lives of Ye Ran's parents and twin younger sister, the unstudious Ye Ran became the sole surviving member of the family.

Just when everyone thought the Ye family was doomed, Ye Ran seemed to become a different person. He studied military strategy and martial arts, and at a young age volunteered to guard the border, becoming the undefeated General Ye.

When everyone thought the Ye family was rising again, Ye Ran was transferred back to the capital and surrendered his military token, taking a post as Deputy Minister of Rites. Perhaps because of this sudden transfer, the fearsome General Ye reverted overnight to his former unlearned self.

As powerful figures at court try to win him over and scheme against him, people gradually begin to notice something unusual about Young Master Ye. Has he truly become a wastrel, or is it all a disguise concealing a much greater secret?
