Great Tang: I Refuse to Play by the Rules

When Yang Hong woke up, he discovered that he had transmigrated to the Tang dynasty.

At the time, Li Shimin had just ascended the throne, full of ambition and determined to govern well.

And Yang Hong had become a remonstrance official.

He had planned to rely on the experience of two lifetimes and his knowledge of the future to make steady progress in the Tang dynasty.

But to his surprise, he was bound to a System that "never played by the rules."

In the second year of Zhenguan, the Tang dynasty enjoyed a bountiful harvest, and the officials were overjoyed.

Then the System spoke.

"Option One: Congratulate the Son of Heaven and offer your best wishes for the harvest. Reward: a string of copper coins."

"Option Two: Keep silent and make no comment. Reward: a bag of rice."

"Option Three: Prosperity breeds complacency, while adversity breeds resilience. As the Son of Heaven, you should prepare for danger even in times of peace. It's time to step forward and give the emperor a stern talking-to, pouring cold water on his celebration. Reward: one bag each of potato, corn, and sweet potato seeds."

Yang Hong pulled a long face. "I choose option three!"
