Immortal Emperor: I'm Only Fit to Guard the Door!

Seven-colored radiance shimmers, spanning heaven and earth. Colorful silks weave embroidered brocade, while the sacred chant continues and immortal music rises to the Ninth Heaven. The sun is nowhere to be seen.

The Jade Capital's ** Emperor gathers the Dipper, sometimes riding a qilin or hidden behind a phoenix. The white-jade capital in the heavens has twelve towers and five cities. Ninety-six sage lords, their names hanging in the clouds.

The one who rules over all beneath heaven and judges the Three Realms and Six Paths is the Immortal Emperor, seated in the immortal realm atop the thirty-third heaven!

The mighty Immortal Emperor was no match for the two old men sweeping the courtyard? He was shocked by the man feeding the fish? He feared the little girl playing beneath the peach tree?!

Looking closer, he realized he had it completely wrong. The little carp swimming in the water and the sparrow dozing on a peach branch... could crush him as easily as an ant.

The Immortal Emperor was perplexed and asked why.

The old man continued sweeping the courtyard, merely giving him a casual glance before replying, “Keep the Master company and share tea...”
