Livestream: Cultural Exports Start with Blockbusters

Zheng Ya livestreams for two hours every day, yet he can make an excellent little game during that time.

Countless companies have offered astronomical sums to poach him, but he has turned them all down.

Once, his fans flooded the chat, urging him to check out a recent gameplay demo for a major domestic game.

After watching the demo, he couldn't calm down.

After ending the livestream, he joined the development team to help them make the perfect domestic single-player game.

His one condition was that he be allowed to livestream for two hours every day.

Throughout development, opinions were divided. Many people predicted the team would focus on livestreaming instead of taking game development seriously, while many others quietly cheered them on.

Six months later, the first G-rated single-player blockbuster from China, and the first of its kind in the world, Dark Myth: Great Sage, burst onto the scene!

The golden monkey rises, brandishing his mighty staff, sweeping the dust from heaven and earth!

Gamers across China went wild, while foreign players fell to their knees and cried out, "God!"

From then on, Chinese blockbusters became leaders among the world's top games!
