Journey to the West: Please, Just Go on the Pilgrimage

He transmigrates to the world of Journey to the West and becomes Tang Sanzang, the Pilgrim. But how could a real man shave his head and become a monk?

Li Ming treats the old monk, who is actually Guanyin in disguise, with utter indifference.

Guanyin, the Jade Emperor, the Tathagata, Zhunti, and Jieyin are all in a panic. "You're the one destined to overcome this calamity! If you don't go west to fetch the scriptures, how are we supposed to carry on with this whole charade?"

Guanyin: "Tang Sanzang's Mahayana Buddhist teachings can bring the dead back to life and regrow flesh on bare bones. Just go, and I'll give you every magic treasure I own!"

Tang Sanzang puts an arm around the Queen of the Daughter Kingdom. "Get lost. I'm not going!"

Zhunti: "If you go on the pilgrimage, I'll give you this ninth-grade Merit Golden Lotus. I'll even make you the head of the Buddhist sect."

Tang Sanzang tosses the East Emperor Bell he just got. "Get lost. I'm not done playing yet. I'll come west and debate you once I'm strong enough to kill you!"
