The Practitioner

Cultivation defies the heavens, and the Heavenly Dao sends down all manner of trials. One must pass the trials and endure life-and-death separations before attaining the Great Dao.

Yuan Xingchen had a rough fate: his parents abandoned him. Fortunately, an old Taoist priest found him. Unfortunately, his aptitude was mediocre, and he could not cultivate.

Just as he was about to accept his fate, perhaps the heavens took pity on him. After he was struck by lightning, he unexpectedly gained the ability to control it.

Was he unlucky, or lucky...?
