Dreaming Across a Thousand Worlds

In a great dream, gods roared beyond the far edge of the heavens, while countless people struggled beneath the vault of the sky. Some presumptuously sought to become gods, using their own minds to imitate the will of Heaven and shepherd all living things. Others were holy and noble, devoting countless eons to opening up the earth and sky, expounding the classics, and enlightening all living things. There were also carefree immortals who traveled in every direction with flowing sleeves, measuring the mortal world and guiding its people. Men of gentle virtue, wearing tall hats and broad sashes, wrote dazzling poems with brush and paper, bringing peace to the world for ten thousand generations.
