Journey to the West: Killing Chen Guangrui from the Start

He grew up with Yin Wenjiao, Tang Sanzang's mother, and they'd secretly been together for three years. But then the Great Calamity of the Journey to the West arrived, and the woman he loved was supposed to marry someone else?

Xia Mu, bearer of the "Humanity Supreme" System, blew his top on the spot and shot Tang Sanzang's father, Chen Guangrui, dead with an arrow!

That shot threw Mount Ling into chaos, and they sent Guanyin to recruit him.

Xia Mu readily agreed to join the game and become a monk on the pilgrimage.

Tathagata: "Why does Buddhism's fortune keep dwindling as the Journey to the West draws to a close?"

Jade Emperor: "Buddhism is truly insatiable. The human fortune we promised has already reached the limit ordained by Heaven. Why are you still fighting for more?"

Demons: "It's bad enough that the immortals and Buddhas slaughter us, but why have humans started exorcising demons, too?"

Xia Mu: "Humans can triumph over Heaven? No! I want humans to set Heaven's laws! My people will establish the rules of the Three Realms!"

This is the story of an undercover agent in Buddhism who secretly builds up the power of humanity.
