Honghuang: I, the Tang Emperor, Swear to Destroy Buddhism!

Li Yan becomes Emperor Wuzong of Tang.

But he discovers that this is actually the Primordial World!

Since the Journey to the West, Buddhism has flourished, and the gods and Buddhas have been throwing their weight around over the heads of mortals without restraint.

His original body has already been killed, and Li Yan, who has transmigrated here, is in grave danger too.

Fortunately, he has a System called the Strongest Emperor.

So he can't help but raise the voice of the human race against the gods and Buddhas of this world!

Tathagata: "What? That mortal killed another Bodhisattva?"

Primordial Heavenly Venerable: "Well done, those bald monks deserve... Damn! We're Taoists! Don't attack!"

Haotian: "Ha ha ha! I've hated Buddhism and Taoism for ages. Good! Keep killing... Wait! Stop! I'm on your side!"

He vows to slaughter every god and Buddha under heaven and create a peaceful, prosperous age for ordinary people alone!
